6v/12a (1 faston) single wire lamp saver regulator for vehicles without battery and 6 volt system This lamp saver regulator is used on vehicles with 6 volt voltage and exclusively on a single line, so it must be connected exclusively to a single wire to regulate the voltage to 6 volts thus avoiding the burning of the bulb of that line. For example, if on my Vespa the rear light burns continuously, I simply have to identify the color of the wire that carries the voltage to the rear light bulb, once identified in the group of wires present on the handlebars, I connect (slightly stripping the sheath that covers the wire reaching the copper wires) the yellow wire of the regulator using tin soldering, then I fix the regulator to ground and with the same screw I also fix the black wire with the eyelet so that all the excess voltage is discharged to ground on the vehicle. For example, if on my Vespa all the lamps burn out, it is advisable to replace the complete stator if it is the electronic version or replace the various light coils if it is the traditional version with points. Or we can mount a voltage regulator so that the headlight voltage is correctly stabilized and all the bulbs are prevented from burning out. ATTENTION: On Vespas with a stop switch with a black ground wire and blue current, it is recommended to mount a dedicated bulb saver since the stop light is grounded when the brake pedal is not used.
