Tankerite is a two-component resin specifically formulated to resist hydrocarbons such as petrol, diesel and oils, forming an internal anti-corrosion coating for the tanks of cars, motorbikes, steel or concrete tanks. It is rich in passivators, rust inhibitors and elastomers which give it exceptional flexibility, an essential characteristic to compensate for the expansion of tanks. The GUM version, created to compensate for the lining of tanks constructed with difficult materials, is considerably more elastic than the traditional one and can be used on aluminium, copper, various plastics, stainless steel, glass and carbon fibre, possibly with the aid of a primer to increase adhesion.
