Single wire lamp saver regulator 6v/12a (1 faston) for vehicles without battery and 6 volt system. This lamp saver regulator is used on vehicles with 6 volt voltage and exclusively on a single line, therefore it must be connected exclusively to a single wire for regulate the voltage to 6 volts, thus avoiding the burning of the bulb in that line. For example, if the rear light on my Vespa continually burns out, I simply have to identify the color of the wire that carries voltage to the rear light. Once I have identified it in the group of wires present on the handlebar, I connect (slightly stripping the sheath that covers the wire reaching the copper wires) the yellow wire of the regulator through soldering, then fix the regulator to ground and with the same screw also fix the black wire with the eyelet so it discharges all the excess voltage to ground on the vehicle. For example, if all the lamps on my Vespa burn out, it is recommended to replace the complete stator if it is the electronic version or replace the various light coils if it is the traditional point version. Or we can fit a voltage regulator so that the headlight voltage is stabilized correctly and all the bulbs do not burn out. ATTENTION: On Vespas with a stop switch with black ground wire and blue current, it is recommended to fit a dedicated lamp protector since the stop light is grounded when the brake pedal is not used.
